What you will see
Integrations arrive with provider extensions. Install a provider — the EasyPost provider, for example — and its integration appears on this page, grouped by what it does: Shipping, Tax, or Other. A store with no providers installed sees an empty page, and that is normal. Each integration shows its connection status:Connecting one
Open the integration and enter what the service asks for — typically an API key, sometimes an account identifier or a choice between a test and a live environment. Secrets are masked once saved. Turning an integration active verifies the connection first. If the service cannot be reached with those credentials, the switch is refused and the error tells you what the service said, so a mistyped key never silently breaks shipping or tax at checkout.Where it is used
Once active, the integration is picked from wherever a provider needs it. A delivery method that quotes live carrier rates points at the carrier integration; a market that uses an external tax engine points at the tax integration. Those pickers link back here, so there is one place credentials live and one place to rotate them.Related
