The Imports screen shows CSV files you have uploaded, and how each one went. It is a history screen, not a place to start work.
You cannot start an import here. There is no upload button on this screen. To import products, go to Products → Import, and see Import Products. Come back to this screen to watch the import run and to see what happened to each row.
To reach it, navigate to Settings → Imports, under the Developer group.

What’s on the screen

A search box (Search by number…), the standard Add filter, Sort and Columns controls, and a table: Each row has three actions: View, Download original, and Delete.

How to check on an import

  1. Start the import from its own screen — for products, that is Products → Import.
  2. Go to Settings → Imports.
  3. Find the import by its number, or by the date it was created.
  4. Watch Status as it runs, and read Rows to see how many were read and how many failed.
  5. Click the row to open it and see what happened to each individual row.

Good to know

  • Download original gives you back the file exactly as it was uploaded, which is the quickest way to correct and retry a failed import.
  • Delete removes the import record, its rows and the uploaded file. An import that is still running cannot be deleted.
  • The screen shows “No imports yet” until you have uploaded a file.
  • Imports sits under Developer, alongside API keys and webhooks, even though importing is a catalogue job. That is where to look for it.
